No, refinishing and reglazing are interchangable terms used to describe the process of applying a new finish over a hard surface.
With proper care, bathtubs and shower pans can last around a decade. Tile walls and sinks can last even longer because they receive less wear and tear. Proper care and cleaning will ensure your finish lasts and looks great for a long time!
Most jobs are completed same day! You can even help speed up the process and prepare for your technicians arrival by removing soaps, shower curtains and rods, or shower caddies beforehand. Our technicians are not licensed plumbers, so if the area we are working on has any leaking or loose pipes, fixtures, etc., you can prepare by having these things fixed prior to refinishing.
No! Because the old surface is stripped and prepped before reglazing begins, refinishing can be done over and over again.
The refinishing process is not toxic to people or animals, however we do ask that all people and pets be out of the home or secured in a separate well ventilated area during the duration on the work. MK refinishing takes pride in properly sealing off and ventilating the work areas during the reglazing process, however here might be a slight lingering odor for a brief time after job completion. This is normal and will go away quickly.
