I give the highest rating in all categories to MK Refinishing for the bathtub and wall tile refinishing work just completed this week in my Lathrup Village home. We have an older style 1940’s 4’x4′ cast iron tub w/ shower. It is a classic and saving it was very important to me and my wife. After considering a few options we chose MK. From the initial meeting with Mike, through the finished work walk thru, he communicated consistently. He communicated his understanding of our plan, proposed a solution, agreed to a quote, then his progress, the next steps, and things he “discovered” while doing the work. He was timely, courteous, easy to talk with, and make the process very easy and smooth – which was a highlight for my wife. His workmanship is excellent, using high quality materials and equipment. He held to his estimate despite expending extra labor hours as the refinishing proved to be very challenging (9 coats to remove I believe). I highly recommend hiring MK Refinishing. I certainly will, and I would recommend him to my family members as well.

Great guy. He was on time, he explained everything he was doing and his price was competitive. Most importantly, he cleaned up after himself. I’ve heard of horror stories regarding refinishing companies. Not true here.

Excellent experience from start to finish, team was professional and you can tell from their work that they cared about doing everything right. They even pointed out a few mistakes the last time work was done by a previous company and corrected them for us. The final invoice was nearly identical to the quote even after the extra work they did. I would absolutely recommend this company and will be using them again in the future.
It’s a rare company that actually answers a request for a quote. MK answered promptly. They always came when they said they would. Always on time. Their workmanship was fabulous. My tub and sink look like new. I would hire them again. Always pleasant and had a smile on his face. Great Job guys!!!
The quality of Mike’s work was excellent. He communicated regularly, showed up when he said he would, was courteous and respectful, explained the work progress every step of the way, cleaned up throughout the entire work schedule, provided complete detail instructions as to what I needed to do after his departure, clearly as you can see I would recommend M.K.Refinishing LLC without hesitation and without hesitation I will use Mike and his company again.

Mike (owner) was one of the few companies that responded quickly (or at all) to my inquiry for a quote on the project. Simple refinish of a standard bathtub. The first visit, the work was performed by one of Mike’s employees. This was not the initial plan, as Mike is normally the person to do all his residential refinishing. After completion, it was noticed that some of the refinishing was not completed as best as it could have been. I notified Mike of the defects with pictures. Mike quickly offered to come out the following day and freely offered to redo the entire bathtub himself. He was in and out without 4-5 hours, tub looks fantastic. Without prompting, he even dropped the cost for the stripping due to the inconvenience. Only reason I didn’t give 5/5 is because the work have those few defects from the first trip out to the house. Overall very happy with the quality of the final product and the speediness at which it was able to be completed.
Mike from M.K. Refinishing was wonderful, friendly and easy to work with. We were in the process of renovating most of our home ourselves to save money when M.K. Refinishing was referred to us for our kitchen counters. Mike responded quickly when we called for an estimate on our kitchen and bath. The start date agreed upon and the entire project was complete within two weeks. He refinished our kitchen counters, our entire bathroom including the tile floor. We showed him our kitchen backsplash, which we planned to install ourselves, and he gave us recommendations for products. At the last minute, we asked him if he could install the backsplash, which he did. The cost was minimal, the work and clean up was phenomenal. We are very happy with the completed work and we will definitely use him again for any future projects.
